Job Title: Accounts Clerk
Location: Houghton Regis
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 16:00 or 08:00 – 16:00
Salary: £30,000 annually
Job Description:
Our client, a reputable company based in Houghton Regis, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Account Clerk to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to further their career in accounting within a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts
- Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies
- Assist with payroll processing and tax filings
- Prepare financial reports and summaries, including annual reports, profit and loss statements, marginal reports, and P&L statements
- Support the finance team with various administrative tasks
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Account Clerk or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel)
- Experience with Sage accounting software is essential
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
